No-hitter over...fun just beginning

A single to right by Mike Lowell has ended Chien-Ming Wang's no-hit bid. Kevin Youkilis reached on an error by Derek Jeter, and Lowell singled him to second.

Then, J.D. Drew hit a roller to Alex Rodriguez, who missed a tag on Youkilis heading to third before throwing out Drew at first.
But....upon further review...the umpires huddled and decided -- correcntly, it seems -- that Youkilis has run out of the basepaths, and he was ruled out.

Terry Francona emerged from the dugout like he was spring-loaded and in no time, was run, his fifth ejection of the season.

13 hits,6 runs, zero wins and now down 7-8 in season series after being up 5-0 to start the year. 14 1/2 game lead down to 5.

don't cry about manny's injury or the fact schilling was hurt and out for awhile-the sox have come no where near the injury plagued season the yankees have had.

ortiz said we aren't worried about them, they need to worry about us--now mike lowell says that it would take the yankees winning 20 in a row to catch and pass them. hold the presses and sox learn to hold your tongues, as yogi said it ain't over till its over.

THE YANKEES WILL OVERCOME THEIR EARLY SEASON PROBLEMS AND THIS WILL GO TO THE WIRE. IT WILL BE GREAT TO LAUGH ABOUT THE SOX BLOWING A 14 1/2 GAME LEAD AND AN 8 GAME LEAD WITH AROUND 30 TO GO.
