| NEW YORK -- This one by Mike Lowell (AP Photo, right), who clanked it off the foul pole down the left-field line leading off the top of the fourth to give the Red Sox a 4-0 lead.
The Sox had potential rallies squashed by the double-play ball in both the second and third innings. Julio Lugo grounded into the DP in the second, Manny Ramirez in the third. Julian Tavarez, meanwhile, has allowed only one Yankee baserunner, via a walk, over the first three innings. |
