ALCS notes: Another Rhode Island connection

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Rocco Baldelli and Dan Wheeler aren't the only members of the Rays baseball family with a Rhode Island connection.

The official scorer here at Tropicana Field is Bill Matthews, who is a native of Newport and a 1975 graduate of Rogers High School. Matthews has lived here for 33 years and is the head baseball coach at Eckerd College.
