BOSTON _ The Red Sox are beginning to get healthy just in time for the stretch run.
When the club travels to Texas on Friday, Josh Beckett will be the starting pitcher, Mike Lowell could be the starting third baseman and Sean Casey will be ready to play, too.
Outfielder J.D. Drew (herniated disk) is still slow going.
"He's trying to progress and do what he can tolerate and trying not to go past the point where he aggravates it," said Red Sox manager Terry Francona.
Casey has been able to hit and take ground balls and should be available to play Friday in Texas.
Lowell and Francona both agree the veteran third baseman will be back in the lineup on Friday in Texas.
