Lester named AL Pitcher of the Month

Red Sox pitcher Jon Lester is the American League's Pitcher of the Mont for September. It is the second time this year that Lester has won the award -- he also pocketed the prize in July.

Lester, who will start Game 1 of the American League Divisional Series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, went 4-1 with a 2.14 ERA and 28 strikeouts in five September starts. Lester finished the season 16-6 with a 3.21 ERA.
