Red Sox relief pitcher David Aardsma began what could be a brief rehab assignment with the PawSox this afternoon.
The right-hander, who has been bothered by a groin strain, worked a perfect 1-2-3 inning in relief at McCoy Stadium. He struck out two and threw 14 pitches (eight strikes).
