Angels get Teixeira in exchange for Kotchman

You can scratch any chance the Red Sox have to get Mark Teixeira.


Sean McAdam just learned that the Angels just received infielder Mark Teixeira from Atlanta in exchange for Casey Kotchman and minor-league pitcher Stephen Marek. Teixeira is expected to join the Angels in time for Wednesday's series finale with the Red Sox.

Kotchman was in the Angels' lineup for tonight's game, but shortly before 5:30 he was pulled.
