Belichick on Wheatley
The Patriots have provided this quote from Bill Belichick on second-round pick Terrence Wheatley:
"Terrence Wheatley was a really good player for Colorado. He is smart. He has played multiple positions, both inside and outside. He returns kicks. I think he can contribute for us in a number of different spots. He is a very athletic guy and had a very productive career at Colorado."

Wheatley might have gone as 1st or 2nd CB if not for his somewhat lengthy injury list. New England seems to feel they are all in the past. He can hit, tackle and cover, run and plays good D on special teams. I like it.

Isn't Weatley a little too young?
art -- According to the bio circulated on Wheatley, he will turn 23 on May 5. He was at Colorado for five years, missing the 2005 season because of wrist problems. -- smy
