Hobson move officialThe Patriots have issued a press release on the signing of LB Victor Hobson. Included is the following quote from Bill Belichick: "Victor is a good young player with considerable playing experience. We are excited about his addition to our linebacker unit."
Posted by Shalise Manza Young Hobson signing confirmedWe just got off the phone with Ken Sarnoff, the agent for Victor Hobson, who confirmed that Hobson has signed with New England. "He's very excited to be a member of the Patriots," Sarnoff said. There were other teams interested in signing the former second-round pick, but Sarnoff would not specify which clubs.

Hobson had a down year last season - likely part of the reason he's reportedly on a one-year contract - but is a veteran with experience in the 3-4 defense.
