Webster played just one game with the Bills last season, breaking his arm in the season opener against Denver. The 30-year old former second-round draft pick of San Francisco spent the 2004-06 seasons with the Falcons, after spending the first four years of his career with the 49ers. In a statement, Bill Belichick said of Webster, “Jason is an experienced veteran who will add good depth to our secondary.” Posted by Shalise Manza Young CommentsWhen I was a kid I had really crappy tires on my car, couldn't afford new ones, so I drove around with several spares in my trunk as I was forever getting a flat or blow-out. We would laugh because there was no room in my huge trunk, full of bald tires which might or might not be helpful. That's what the Patriots secondary and linebacker situation remind me of. This year's draft may prove very critical to where the Pats are headed over the next several years. And they have to draft well enough to make up for that lost pick.
