Better than the alternative
Media Day brings all manner of characters and questions, and the players and coaches know to expect the unexpected.
It might get crazy, but for some of the Pats' players, it beats the alternative.
"It's definitely more to like," Richard Seymour said. "I'd rather be here than to be sitting at home like the other teams in the NFL, so I'm definitely enjoying it."
Adalius Thomas echoed Seymour's thoughts.
"It's better than not working. It's better than not working at all," he said. "You guys (the media) have a job to do; you're the link between us and the fans. It's all fun."
Tom Brady, who heard a marriage proposal from a TV Azteca "reporter," among other things, said he prefers questions about on-field topics.
"You just deal with whatever question is asked, and try to handle it the best you can. I'm obviously more comfortable answering the football questions. Those are much easier for me."
