Seven Pats lead Pro Bowl voting -- just not Brady
Hey all --
With a little more than a month until the AFC and NFC Pro Bowls are named, the NFL has announced early voting results. Seven New England players are the leading vote-getters at their respective position -- but record-setting quarterback Tom Brady is not among them.
The leading vote-getter for AFC quarterback is Peyton Manning (441,852); Brady is behind him at 440,354. Green Bay's miracle man Brett Favre (458,837) is the leading vote-getter overall.
Unhappy with the standings? You can vote here. Or if you have a Sprint cell phone, text "PRO" to 7777 to vote.
Here's the list of AFC leaders at each position and how many votes they've received:

of course brady got out voted. despite what everyone says he isn't that great. he has a good supporting cast. if you were to try and tell me that you couldn't take almost any quarterback off any other team and insert him as the starting qb for new england, that they wouldn't be doing just as good. brady is not the most important part of that team or even close. he IS and ALWAYS WILL BE the most overrated quarterback to ever play in the nfl. i would love to see brady succeed on say miami, or the rams. the supporting cast in new england is what makes brady any good at all. period.
smg - clearly you aren't a Patriots fan, but I think even the most ardent Colts (or Browns, or Cowboys) fan wouldn't call Brady "the most overrated quarterback ever to play in the NFL." Maybe overrated/below average quarterbacks win one Super Bowl -- Brad Johnson, Trent Dilfer come to mind -- but to win three, I think a QB has to be pretty good. -- smy

Is Logan Mankins at all near the top of the list for AFC guards?
Rob - I haven't seen anything that shows who is two or three at each position, just the top vote-getter at each position. As of the last results posted, Cleveland's Eric Steinbach is leading AFC guards. - smy

If the '07 Pats were to take on the '85 Bears, who would come out on top, and what strengths would one team possess over the other?
Rob - I was pretty young in '85, but I'd have to think that since that Bears team had a great defense and many observers are calling this Pats offense one of, if not the, best ever, it would definitely be a battle of strength vs. strength. Be pretty cool if we could find out. Maybe in Madden, right? - smy
