T.O. has zipped his lips -- for now

Who ever thought that Dallas' Terrell Owens would shun the spotlight??? But when reporters went into the Cowboys' Valley Ranch practice facility locker room today, there was a laminated, signed note from Owens which said he wouldn't be talking until after Sunday's game.

Owens typically holds Wednesday press conferences.

In his note, which you can see right here (scroll down), Owens says:

"Dear Reporters,

Due to the magnitude of this week's game and high volume of questions for the Original 81 about the other 81. I will be taking all questions immediately following Sunday's game.

Sincerely,

Terrell Owens

p.s. Getcha Popcorn Ready"

It looks to us like he's taking a swipe at Randy Moss with his reference to the "other 81" comment...

It would be really nice to see Rodney and perhaps Adalius put a couple of good old fashioned smacks on the bigmouth 81. Even when this guy makes a big show about shutting his big mouth 'till after the game he actually can't quite shut it. He always has to get a jab in there. Being a distraction to his team is his specialty, and I look forward to the (Other 81) outclassing him on the field. Meanwhile his big mouth serves only to motivate the Patriots that much more, and I don't think that's a smart thing to do. I hope the Pats put a beating on him for his big mouth.
