According to the Hartford Courant, Hairston's agent, Joe Linta, said the sixth-round draft pick out of Central Connecticut State has a severely pulled hamstring that will likely end his season before it began in earnest. Hairston can be claimed off waivers by another team, but if he is not, he will likely be placed on New England's injured reserve for the season. The 6-foot-1 running back, who began his career at Rutgers before transferring to CCSU -- alma mater of Scott Pioli -- led the nation in rushing last year. shalise Posted by Shalise Manza Young |
