It is a five-year deal, and Thomas will get $20 million guaranteed -- over the first two years of the contract. He receives a $12 million signing bonus this year as well as a $900,000 base salary. In 2008, he'll get an $8 million option bonus and the same base salary as this year. For most NFL contracts, the first three years are what matter money-wise.
