Randall Gay gets second-round tender
Hey all --
The Boston Globe is reporting that the Patriots have offered cornerback Randall Gay the one-year, $1.35 million restricted free agent tender.
It is the same tender Wes Welker got from Miami, meaning any team that wants to sign Gay to a better deal would have to surrender a second-round draft pick to New England.
The undrafted corner out of LSU has struggled with injuries the last two seasons, after starting in Super Bowl XXXVIII his rookie year.
