Hey all --
As we draw ever closer to D-Day, Bill Belichick was in good spirits this morning, joking with media folks a few times as he talked more about the Chargers.
To lead things off, Belichick was asked about former Pats linebacker Andre Tippett, who was named one of 17 finalists for the 2007 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction class.
"Congratulations to Andre for getting to this point in the process," Belichick said. "I never had a chance to coach him, but he was a big force out there on the left side. It was always fun to watch him."
The coach was complimentary of View image">Tully Banta-Cain, who had a career-high 5.5 sacks this season and has made the most of his chances since seeing his playing time increase with the injury to Junior Seau. "He's definitely improved (and) played solidly," Belichick said.
