Pats-Colts most-watched AFC Championship in 20 years
Hey all --
CBS Sports announced today that Sunday's AFC Championship game between New England and Indianapolis was the most-watched non-Super Bowl program since the "Friends" finale on May 6, 2004.
An average of 46.7 million viewers tuned in to the game, which saw the Colts move on to the Super Bowl with a 38-34 come-from-behind win. That makes it the most-watched AFC title game since the 1985 championship game between the Patriots and Dolphins, which had 47.5 million viewers.
This year's number is a 20 percent increase over viewership of last year's AFC championship between Pittsburgh and Denver.
The ratings in Boston were 50.9 with a 68 share.
