SAN FRANCISCO -- So for much of last season, Pats fans saw Tom Brady drop back and Randy Moss blow past defenders on his way to 23 touchdown receptions.
That hadn't been the case with Matt Cassel and Moss thus far, but that all changed a minute ago. Facing third-and-8 from their own 34, Cassel dropped back, Moss blew past 49ers corners Nate Clements and Walt Harris, and Cassel put his pass right on the money as Moss caught it in stride in went in the final 15 yards or so for his second touchdown of the season.
New England had called precious few long pass plays against Miami, but already Cassel went looking for Moss downfield twice -- the first one, however, ended up in the arms of Takeo Spikes after Ray McDonald grabbed Cassel's arm as he was throwing and the ball ended up well short.
