FOXBORO -- For fans disconcerted to see the Dolphins -- losers of 20 of their last 21 games -- jump out to an early, 7-0 lead over the Patriots (winners of an NFL-record 21 in a row), consider that, although Miami was swept last year by New England, the Fish beat the Pats in three of the five previous games.
It appeared the Pats would grab the lead when they moved to a first-and-goal at the 7. But QB Matt Cassel was sacked on consecutive downs and then, on third down, was intercepted by Miami defensive lineman Randy Starks.
Dolphins QB Chad Pennington proceeded to take his team 74 yards to a TD in just 8 plays, RB Ronnie Brown scoring from the 2 after taking a direct snap from center.
It's the first time this season the Patriots have trailed.
