| Training camp: Session #21 notes »
Earlier this year, New England hosted Carolina LB Adam Seward, a restricted free agent, though the Pats never made a offer that might have gotten the former UNLV player here. Now it's sounding like he wishes they had. Seward called it a "tremendous honor" to be considered as a potential Patriots player, and feels that he is a better fit in New England's 3-4 defense than Carolina's 4-3, where he is "stuck" behind first-round picks Dan Morgan and Jon Beason. He is in real trouble here in Charlotte if he is stuck behind Morgan. He was cut, signed in NO, and retired.
