Are you living in a house divided, a die-hard Patriots fan living with a family member who is rooting for the Giants?
If so, can you laugh about it, or will you be watching the Super Bowl on separate TVs — maybe even in separate places?. Send your stories — please be sure to include your name, address and daytime phone number — to sendus@projo.com. We’ll publish the best of the bunch the the day before the Big Game.
I live in providence but am in , and will be in North Carolina for the Super Bowl . As a lifelong Patriots fan I had a hard time listening to sports talk on the drive from R.I. to N.C. The hatred for my beloved Patriots was like someone hating on a member of my family .
At any rate . I will watch the Super Bowl in N.C. I will watch at a friends house . A house full of 100% , rabid , foaming at the mouth Patriots haters .
The Patriots will win the Super Bowl . They will probably do it in mind-blowing fashion. Either putting up an amazing number of points or some last second heroics . Regardless , my mighty Patriots will win .
So what do I after the Patriots win the game ? Do i gloat ? Do I engage in NFL style celebratory break dancing ? Do I get right up in their faces and yell " BOO-YA " . Honestly I dont know how I will react . I do hope the people with me , despite their hatred of my beloved Patriots , realize the history they have just witnessed .
By the way , the Patriots will go to NEXT YEARS SUPER BOWL as well . I will not be out of town for number 5 .
