Rock Hoppin' Mike Frank, a hardcore surfcaster from Westerly, talks about the lures he makes and how he fishes them to catch trophy bass. The striper in the photo weighed 40 pounds. Rock Hoppin' Mike caught it on Nov. 1.

I work in a call center in Burlington, VT, and just did and an interview on behalf of the National Marine Fisheries Service with the world famous Rock Hoppin' Mike. What a coincidence! I actually spent some time in Westerly back in 1999. I didn't get ouytside much while I was there, although I did waste some time getting bombed out of my skull at the a place called the L&D cafe. I have been addicted to soupi for quite some time, which is a type of cured sausage found almost exclusively in Westerly, I guess-- not approved by the FDA! Anyhow...
