BOSTON (AP) - The Boston Bruins have added two more assistant coaches to round out the staff of new head coach Claude Julien. The Bruins announced Wednesday that they hired Craig Ramsay and Geoff Ward. Ramsay was fired in May after seven seasons as the Tampa Bay Lightning's associate head coach. Tampa Bay won the Stanley Cup in 2004 and made four straight playoff appearances during Ramsay's tenure. Ramsay played from 1971-85 with the Buffalo Sabres, winning the Frank J. Selke Trophy for best defensive forward in 1985. Ward coached last season in Germany, leading the Iserlohn Roosters to a 18-6-4-24 record. He served as Julien's assistant coach for the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs in 2002. |
