Marco Sturm and Sergei Samsonov will not play tonight. Sturm suffered an "upper-body" injury last Saturday in Montreal, and Samsonov suffered a bruised foot on Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

Coach Mike Sullivan said Samsonov was a possibility tonight, but for precautionary reasons the crafty forward will not play. Both players will be back in the lineup after the Olympic break.

As far as Sturm playing for his native Germany at the winter games, there is a good chance he will not participate in the Olympics.

Goaltender Tim Thomas will make his 15th consecutive start tonight.
