While the Bruins await word on Hannu Toivonen's right ankle sprain, the club recalled goaltender Jordan Sigalet from Providence.
After the Bruins have a better idea to the extent of Toivonen's injury, they will re-evaluate the goaltending situation. If Toivonen is out only a couple of days, it is likely Sigalet will remain the backup. However, if Toivonen is out longer, Tim Thomas could be called up. He would have to clear waivers, though.
Toivonen is having an MRI taken this afternoon and I will have the results later today.
