Enjoying a beer for the St. Patrick's Parade in Holyoke, Mass., this Sunday will require some planning. The city's License Commission has decided it won't allow the city's 81 bar and liquor stores to open at 9 a.m., instead of noon, when the parade starts, according to the Associated Press. The commission voted March 2 to allow the early openings but changed its decision this week after the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission told the city the early openings would violate state statutes governing Sunday alcohol sales.
