Red Flag warning extended to Wednesday

The National Weather Service has extended a Red Flag warning for severe winds in the Inland valleys, deserts and mountains through 3 p.m. Wednesday.

A warning issued over the weekend was set to expire this afternoon, but the weather service issued the new warning at 11 a.m., saying in a statement that "Santa Ana conditions with critical fire weather" will persist, although gusts could be up to 10 mph slower than Monday.
