You Can't Spell Foodie without the IE

The California Travel and Tourism Commission is looking for a few good food fans who can highlight a local food trend or restaurant in their neighborhood for a new travel Web site devoted to the state's food and wine offerings -- check out the "California Insiders" tab on the site.

No restaurant owners or professional food reviewers are allowed to contribute, just locals.

If you're interested in representing the Inland Empire, write an e-mail to web@landofwineandfood.com. The subject line should say "Real Californian Profile Submission." Someone from the commission will then send you a form to fill out and send back with a photo of yourself.

The form is fairly easy and asks:

How would you spend the perfect afternoon in your city?
Your favorite ways to spend time.
Top food/restaurant favorites/best thing to eat where you live?
First place you'd take an out-of-town visitor.
Your favorite local drink right now.
