Suspect in custody in connection with stabbing death in Coachella

Melinda Larios, 24, of Coachella was found mortally wounded outside a home in the 50300 block of Mazatlan Drive at about 9:15 p.m., Riverside County sheriff's deputy Herlinda Valenzuela said.
Police believe Larios was attacked during a domestic argument, before she was pronounced dead at the home 15 minutes later, Valenzuela said.
Police found James C. Serna, 24, of Coachella at the home and arrested him on suspicion of murder, Valenzuela said.
Serna was booked at the Indio jail, awaiting charges.
