Rialto women suspected in theft of copper and aluminum

Two Rialto women were arrested in Montclair on suspicion of stealing $1,050 worth of copper and aluminum wiring from a backyard on Columbine Avenue.

Monica Clara Rangel, 48, and Josefina Jovita Serna, 18, were arrested by Montclair police officers, who stopped their car in the 9400 block of Central Avenue at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday after they were allegedly seen leaving the 9300 block of Columbine, where the thefts occurred, a Montclair Police Department news release said.
