Joe Saunders will pitch for the suddenly sinking Angels tonight, the team having lost six of its past eight games. Saunders is 14-5 with a 3.14 ERA this year and will be making his third career start vs. Minnesota. Hey Matt, good to see you back in the paper and on the blog. What do you think about this ?slump? the team is going through? Is it just a "Dog Days of Summer" slump or something else? The position players' offense and defense seems to be suspect recently. Love Speier, but I am starting to think he belongs on the bench with Gary Matthews, however I don't believe there is too much relief help in the minors. What do you think?
