Through 3 2/3 innings, Ervin Santana had thrown a perfect game until he walked Cliff Floyd in the fourth. Santana had thrown a no-hitter until he allowed a one-out double to Jason Bartlett in the sixth inning. Santana gave up one run in the sixth, but he left the game leading, 2-1.
