The Padres have claimed pitcher Brian Falkenborg off waivers, and he will be activated tomorrow. The Dodgers designated him for assignment last week, and Falkenborg had said he would consider staying with the organization if he cleared waivers and prepare for a September call-up. For whatever reason, that didn't happen.
