The Dodgers have placed Andruw Jones on the 15-day disabled list with patellar tendinitis in his left knee to make room for Nomar Garciaparra on the roster. He previously had surgery on his right knee. Class AAA Las Vegas doesn't return home from a road trip until Aug. 25 if Jones is going to get at-bats there closer to home. Could it be that the petition worked?
