Hanley Ramirez belted his 23rd homer, a blast to right-center in the 11th, to lead the Marlins to a 5-4 win over the Dodgers Thursday night. The all-star shortstop finished 5 for 6 with a double. The five hits ties a club record. 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

I didn't have a problem with them bringing Falkenborg in there, but is there any reason on Earth why they didn't pitch around Ramirez? I know, you don't want to put the go ahead run on base, but the man was hotter than Hades and has been a one man machine vs. the Dodgers. There's no reason to not pitch around him there. There are other reasons the Dodgers didn't win the game - Park's bad start, not driving in RISP late in the game, etc - but that moment sticks in my craw. Did Torre or anyone talk about this after the game?
Ah well, hope they win 2 out of the next three at the very least...
