"The sense is we'll do something," Manager Joe Torre said. "Ned has many irons in the fire. It's a matter of what makes sense overall." Asked if a blockbuster might be in the works, Torre said, "As of right now, I don't see that happening." Meanwhile, special assistant to the GM Toney Howell was seen at a Rangers-White Sox game. 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

Dodgers better have been looking at Crede and not Blalock ..Blalock has been on the DL twice has played in only 28 games .278 4 HR 10 RbI DeWitt has been more productive than that and Blalock is a $6mm dollar man. Giving up anything more than La Roche would be a poor trade.
Why? Is Crede, he of the constant back problems, any better bet than Blalock? In fact, Crede's currently ailed by his bad back.
I can't wait to watch LaRoche hit 25-30 bombs yearly at US Cellular while Crede's either on the DL or has his power sapped by chronic back problems as a Dodger.
