Dodgers pitcher Hiroki Kuroda was sent home from Cincinnati and will undergo an MRI exam tomorrow after finally reporting shoulder soreness that has bothered him throughout the season. The team seems to feel better about Kuroda's prognosis than Brad Penny's since Kuroda's scheduled start tomorrow has been pushed back for now to Saturday. Derek Lowe will pitch tomorrow followed by Eric Stults on Thursday and Clayton Kershaw on Friday.
"I would have liked to have been told sooner," Manager Joe Torre said of Kuroda, who the Dodgers signed this offseason out of Japan. I understand it's probably my fault the communication isn't as easy. I probably should have talked to him more, and maybe it would have been easier for him to tell me."
