Garland Tries For Angels' Lucky Seven

Jon Garland will take the mound this evening, looking to push the Angels to their seventh straight win.

However, it's going to take a big reversal of fortune for Garland to beat the A's.

The tall righty is just 3-9 with a 5.01 ERA against the A's in his career, is 0-1 with a 10.50 ERA in one start against them this year and was 0-2 with a 3.79 ERA against the A's last season.

Ew.

However, including Friday, in the past 43 games between the A's and Angels, 28 games have been decided by two runs or less. So, it could be a close game.

But ... for the 14th time in the past 16 games following Friday's win, the Angels failed to break the four-run barrier. Yet they are 12-4 in that stretch.
