Dodgers RHP Hiroki Kuroda threw a complete game shutout, striking out 11 and walking none in leading the Dodgers to a 3-0 victory over the Cubs on Friday night.

It was the first complete game for the Dodgers since Chad Billingsley on July 23. It was the first shutout since Derek Lowe on August 31, 2005, in Chicago.

"He was as close to perfect without being perfect as you can be," Manager Joe Torre said. "That was an old-time, throwback type of appearance tonight."
