There is a chance that tonight Joe Saunders will be the American League's winningest pitcher. Tied for first with eight wins, Saunders shoots for No. 9 tonight against the Mariners and left-hander Erik Bedard. Saunders is making his sixth appearance vs. the Mariners and the third of this season. He is 2-0 with a 4.05 ERA this year vs. Seattle and 3-1 with a 5.67 ERA lifetime against the M's. Bedard is coming off one of his best starts of the year when he allowed two hits in seven shutout innings against Boston. Bedard is 4-3 with a 4.08 ERA and is making his first start against the Angels since 2006. 3 CommentsLeave a comment |

Wow, the Angels are really messing up an easy win. Good job guys. You had an easy blowout going and now you're turning it into an ugly mess. I hope howie gets a chance to make up for that bad error. Now Quinlan lets a 4th run score. Yuck. Wake up.
We still have the lead but these guys better stop stranding so many runners. Seven runners stranded through five innings is horrible. Seven over nine innings is horrible. They all need to have better at-bats right now.
Wow offense, what a horrible 6th. R.A. Dickey is garbage and you let him get three outs in one minute. That was stupid. I'm steamed right now. Scioscia should be blowing his top over this in front of all of them. This shouldn't be allowed to happen against the horrible Mariners. Never.
