For those that love pitching duels, you'll surely love this afternoon's game between the Angels and Rays. (Of course, we say that now ...) John Lackey will take his 1.70 ERA against Scott Kazmir and his 1.40 ERA in today's 12:35 p.m. start. But, more than their sub-2.00's is that these two have been dominating batters for awhile now, not just this year. Since 2005, Lackey has the third-lowest ERA in the American League while Kazmir is fourth. Take a look at the chart: PITCHER ERA (IP - ER) Roy Halladay 3.18 689.2 IP - 244 ER John Lackey 3.25 687.2 IP - 248 ER Scott Kazmir 3.35 582.1 IP - 217 ER Kelvim Escobar 3.44 444.2 IP - 170 ER |
