It shouldn't be wholly Francisco Rodriguez's loss. It should be shared by the entire offense. Again the Angels' offense failed to deliver in Thursday night's 4-3 loss to Chicago, the team leaving nine runners on base, eight in scoring position with two outs. It was the Angels' sixth loss in their past eight games and in that stretch the team is hitting just .238 (15-63) with runners in scoring position. Overall this month they are batting .240 and in their past eight games are hitting just .225. "You don't want to get in the habit of tipping your cap but what can you do sometimes?" Casey Kotchman said. "You don't want to give too much credit but you don't want to give away any when it's not due." "Right now we're searching for continuity," Manager Mike Scioscia said. "It's a lull right now. It just means we've got to execute when we have the opportunity. It puts pressure on us to execute when we're struggling to set the table the way we have been." |
