The Lakers will have four days off before they play another game Wednesday night, and they need it. When the Lakers resumed at practice Sunday, they were a wounded bunch, they were a weary bunch. Kobe Bryant didn't practice while he fully recovers from back spasms that limited him during Game 4 and 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz. Lamar Odom didn't practice while his tailbone heals. Pau Gasol didn't practice while his left ankle gets better. Sasha Vujacic didn't practice because of ``whiplash'' he suffered from after taking a charge on Utah's Paul Millsap in Game 6 Friday night. Vujacic also has a sprained right big toe. Derek Fisher didn't practice because of the heavy minutes he has played in the postseason. -- Broderick Turner 1 CommentsLeave a comment |

I believe the Hornets will beat the Spurs tonight if West can have an impact coming off his injury. But the Lakers will have their hands full with either of these two teams. I'm glad they have home court advantage. Do you think their layoff will help or hinder their chances in the first game of the western conference finals?
