Lakers maintain composure against physical Jazz

The Lakers were pushed, pulled and yanked around by the Utah Jazz in Game 1 of the Western Conference second-round playoff series, but LA didn't complain.

The Lakers were punished on the backboards by the Jazz, which used it's physical strength to manhandle LA.

But the Lakers didn't lose their cool.

The Jazz mucked the game up, but the Lakers didn't back down.

``We did a good job of staying off the referees,'' Lamar Odom said. ``We didn't whine.''
