Dodgers P Brad Penny allowed a career-high 10 runs today and was tagged for 10 hits and three walks in 4 2/3 innings. He said his curveball was working but he was just falling behind and missing on some pitches.

Penny had allowed eight runs over his previous 23 2/3 innings and won four straight outings before this one.

"Everything that could go wrong, went wrong today," Penny said. "Today I didn't give the team a chance. It just happens."
