Gary Bennett is headed to the 15-day disabled list with left foot plantar fascitis and Danny Ardoin has had his contract purchased from Triple-A Las Vegas. Jason Schmidt will be transferred to the 60-day disabled list to make room for Ardoin on the 40-man.
