Twins starter Kevin Slowey, who had allowed three runs in the first three innings (two coming on Gary Matthews Jr.'s home run) just left the game with an injury after Torii Hunter grounded out.

It is unclear what bothered Slowey, who leaves in the top of the fourth with one out and Garret Anderson on second after a leadoff double, but after Hunter grounded out, the training staff and manager Ron Gardenhire came out to the mound and escorted the righty off the field.
