There is this consolation for Ducks fans: Two years ago, the Carolina Hurricanes fell behind 2-0 in their series with the Montreal Canadiens, losing the first two at home. They rallied to win the series, and went on to win the Stanley Cup. And that is about the only thread the Ducks can hang on to, after a 5-2 loss to Dallas pushed them closer to the edge, with Games 3 and 4 Tuesday and Thursday nights in Dallas. (For the record, they were 19-18-4 on the road during the regular season.) Overall, teams trailing 2-0 have come back to win only 13.2 percent of the time in NHL history. |
