Not only did Brad Penny record his 1,000th career strikeout Saturday against the Rockies, he also delivered at the plate, going 2 for 3 with an RBI and run scored.

He also was the beneficiary of a 10-run first inning, tying a club record. The last time LA scored 10 runs in an inning was May 6, 2005. The starter in that game ... Brad Penny.
